Winery & Tasting Room Information

As you meander down the winding drive through the canopied vineyard, you will see nestled against the South Georgia hardwoods, the bucolic winery and tasting room.  This welcoming, rustic shelter houses 32 stainless steel tanks used during fermentation.  In utilizing many smaller tanks as opposed to a few larger tanks, Horse Creek is able to produce a better tasting wine because the grapes are sorted, crushed and transferred in smaller quantities, which results in less bruising.

Upon entering the facility, you will be met by a breathtaking French mural hand selected from Travis & Company, an antique showroom in Atlanta and a handcrafted bar with a raised seating area that overlooks the 40 acres of muscadine vines.  The antique furnishings in the tasting room are not just a conversation piece – partner Allen Dorsey is an experienced antique dealer and decorator having brought a plethora of items back from Europe to Georgia.  The pieces are rare and exquisite and give an air of elegance to Horse Creek Winery's tasting and banquet rooms. 

This unique and charming dwelling is available to rent for a wide variety of social gatherings.  Weddings, Christmas parties, engagement celebrations, and company picnics are just a few of the events that Horse Creek Winery hopes to host for you.
